Hôtel Carlton - Crans-Montana
"A design vision for a contemporary alpine retreat".
This proposal presents a preliminary architectural concept for a 5-star boutique hotel and spa in Crans-Montana. Conceived as an elegant alpine retreat, the project explores the volumetry, spatial organisation, and material identity of a future hotel complex comprising 75 rooms and three luxury penthouses, as illustrated in the conceptual façade studies and initial layout plans.
The architectural language is defined by vertical timber structures, generous glazing, and sculptural roof forms that integrate the building harmoniously into its mountainous surroundings. The proposed distribution of spaces — including restaurants, spa areas, guestrooms, and penthouses — is presented as a planning strategy, offering a first reading of how the programme may be organised and experienced.
It is important to note that this proposal represents a conceptual and stylistic vision, developed to outline the potential direction and architectural character of the project. It is not a final design. All elements — from the volumetric study to the preliminary spatial layouts — serve as a foundation for future refinement and detailed development in collaboration with the client, consultants, and local authorities.
